A New Year!

2010.
Man, back in the day, 2010 seemed so futuristic. And yet, here we are, and I'm still wondering where my flying car is at. Oh well, I've got bigger adventures planned!

So, updating from my last post. I officially have a place to live when I'm down under! It's a huge weight off my shoulders, seeing as the original plan was to have me show up in Newcastle and look for a place once I got there. No more! I have a place to stay! I'm beginning to calm down a lot about it. I know I say that a lot, but I was really freaking out, so the calming down comes in waves.

Yesterday I bought more compression bags for my clothes. Those things work miracles I tell ya. For compulsive overpackers, they are wonderful. It makes me feel better knowing that I can bring more of my stuff then and have it take up less space. Today I'll probably do another trial run of packing. Hopefully it ends better than the last time.

I spent the weekend at my cabin, along with my parents, my mom's siblings and their spouses, and my grandparents, plus two of my friends. AKA 13 people. In a two-bedroom house. It was really fun though. We played a lot of Trivial Pursuit. It's really hard to play though when the game is a 1981 version and we weren't born until 1988 and 1989. We worked through it though. :) Anyways, it's already 11 in the morning and I don't feel like I've done much today. So off I go!
